Primitive pythagoräische Tripel

Ein pythagoräisches Tripel besteht aus drei natürlichen Zahlen x, y und z mit x² + y² = z². Von besonderem Interesse sind nicht weiter vereinfachbare / also teilerfremde pythagoräische Tripel. Teilerfremd bedeutet, dass der größte gemeinsame Teiler von x, y und z gleich 1 ist.

Jedes (abgeleitete) pythagoräische Tripel lässt sich nun auf genau eine Weise durch Multiplikation aus einem teilerfremden ("primitiven") pythagoräischen Tripel und einer natürlichen Zahl berechnen. Das bekannteste pyth. Tripel ist wohl [3, 4, 5] - 3² + 4² = 5² (9 + 16 = 25). Durch Multiplikation mit 2 erhält man [6, 8, 10] - auch 6² + 8² = 10² (36 + 64 = 100), mit 3 multipliziert erhalten wir [9, 12, 15] usw..

Zu den pyth. Tripeln gibt es eine Fülle von zusätzlichen Erkenntnissen und Sätzen. Eine davon lautet:
Aus dem primitiven pyth. Tripel [3, 4, 5] kann jedes andere teilerfremde / primitive pyth. Tripel auf genau eine Weise durch eine Abfolge ("Sequenz") von Abbildungen A, B oder C, die hintereinander auf [3, 4, 5] angewendet werden, gewonnen werden.
Diese Abbildungsvorschriften - Regeln lauten:

aus [x , y , z] wird mit x = 3, y = 4, z = 5

• Regel a: [x-2y+2z, 2x-y+2z, 2x-2y+3z]
• Regel b: [x+2y+2z, 2x+y+2z, 2x+2y+3z]
• Regel c: [-x+2y+2z, -2x+y+2z, -2x+2y+3z]

Mit Hilfe von Permutationen dieser drei Regeln lassen sich aus [3, 4, 5] alle primitiven pythagoräischen Tripel ableiten.

Als Hilfestellung für die Arbeit mit pyth. Tripeln folgt eine (nicht ganz vollständige) Liste mit den primitiven pyth. Tripeln bis etwa 400 als kleinster enthaltener Zahl. Mit Hilfe der Multiplikation mit einer natürlichen Zahl lassen sich daraus beliebig viele abgeleitete pyth. Tripel erzeugen.
